Bmw M department has just released an app for the iphone that can measure a cars 0-60, quarter miles, amongst other items. Note to user in order to register proper times the iphone has to be laid flat or at 90 degrees in the direction the car is traveling. Might want to get a friend to hold it. Best of all its free boys and girls.
